Cody did most of his pilot training in his home province of Newfoundland at GFT Aerospace Technologies and moved to Alberta to complete his instructor rating at Absolute Aviation. He got into instructing because he wants to share his knowledge and experience with likeminded people and see them succeed in their goals.

In addition to his CPL, Cody has completed a diploma Program in adult psychology.
