| Medical | Must pass a Ministry of Transport examination (Category 3 or higher) by a Transport Canada certified Aviation Medical Examiner. | |
| Ground School | Briefings will be given on an individual basis as required | |
| Books | Flight Training Manual, From the Ground Up, A.I.M. – these books are the same ones from the Private Pilot Licence training | |
| Written Exam | No written exam is required however, applicant will have to demonstrate to instructor that they have reached the level of knowledge specified in the Flight Instructor Guide | |

Minimum of 20 hours flight training( 5 hours previous experience from private pilot training)
